Scottish Dark Sky Observatory
Each year, around the globe, millions of people, businesses, and landmarks set aside an hour to host events, switch off their lights, and come together to make a noise for climate change action. Together we will show that we care about the earth and act as a symbolic reminder that the future of our planet lies in our hands.
This year Earth Hour begins at 8.30pm on 30 March.
Come along and join us for an evening of stargazing during Earth Hour, viewing the natural wonders of the night sky through our large telescopes from a dark sky location.
The Earth Hour 2019 Session at the SDSO starts at 8.00pm.
Tickets are priced at:
Seniors (aged 65+) and Student (with valid ID) £12.00
- Use of the telescopes for viewing the night sky is only possible when we have clear skies.
- Events go ahead in all weather conditions except where roads are impassible due to snow.
